Build a Mac version of timesnapper
A number of people have asked for a version of TimeSnapper that runs on the Mac.

implement a solution to allow "remote" capturing
I work quite a lot over RDP and with virtual machines. Of course, TS can capture these just fine but it obviously cannot capture window titles and URLs inside the remote session and it will also always capture the entire remote session rather than just the active window inside that session.
I think it would be great if all of the above would still work inside the RDP/VM-window (without having to buy additional licenses to install TS on the guest machines).
I'm not yet sure what would be the best approach to this. One thing I can think of would…

Extract URLs from Firefox 9
All Firefox URLs now show up as unknown since I was auto-upgraded to Firefox 9, and my productivity score has dropped through the floor! Help my self esteem!

Create a manager option to recieve reports
Allow the reports to be emailed/transferred daily or weekly to an e-mail address or an FTP location. Even better is to allow random screen shots (or selected low productivity ones) to accompany the report.
This would make a great managerial tool.

optionally allow the default to be productive time and the exception list to be non-productive time
flip the default/exception behavior so that any time is presumed to be productive unless one of the configs (app, keyword) matches, in which case it is unproductive.

Allow plugins for task lookup
The task lookup integration is great if you have full SQL access to the source of the task list, but in some environments you have an API without SQL access (like in a Microsoft Project Server environment). It would be nice to be able to write a plugin for task lookup integration rather than requiring SQL.
The SQL integration could then also be written as a plugin that ships with TimeSnapper by default. Task lookup integration would be done by selecting the desired plugin and configuring that plugin.

Allow plugins for timesheet integration
The timesheet integration is great if you have full SQL access to the timesheet system, but in some environments you have an API without SQL access (like in a Microsoft Project Server environment). It would be nice to be able to write a plugin for timesheet integration rather than requiring SQL.
The SQL integration could then also be written as a plugin that ships with TimeSnapper by default. Timesheet integration would be done by selecting the desired plugin and configuring that plugin.

Make the OK button default on the "Flag Info" dialog.
Currently you have to click on the OK button or press "Alt-O" to save and close the "Flag Info" dialog.
It would be quicker if I could just press Enter.4 votes -
make it easier to define productive apps/sites by window title/URL
Ideally, combine the UI of the current productivity wizard and the dialog used to exclude images from capture.
For example, I don't want to define Outlook.exe as such as a productive app. But I often define certain email subjects (that are reflected in the window title) as productive. Currently I either have to copy&paste the subject (or relevant portions thereof) or type it manually into the productivity wizard. Likewise, sometimes I don't want to define an entire domain as productive but only certain sub-paths (this does currently not appear to be possible at all).
It would therefore be great if,…

detect java window titles correctly
When using an application that uses Java as it's framework, TimeSnapper only lists the window as javaw.exe.
So when using multiple applications that are written in Java, they all fall under the same umbrella.
My specific apps are Eclipse, Netbeans, and install4j. All of these only show up as javaw.exe in TimeSnapper.

Disable capturing when the computer is locked
Say I lock my computer and go to a meeting for an hour. It seems a little wasteful to have 3,600 screenshots of "Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to unlock this computer" (assuming I capture every second).

Show the current flag info in the tray tooltip
When I put my cursor over the TimeSnapper icon in the tray, it currently says "TimeSnapper (Active)" or the like.
Instead of just saying "Active" it'd be nice to show the info about the most recent flag, like what task it thinks I'm working on. That way I can look to see if I forgot to add a new flag.
Right now the only way to do this is to go all the way into "Browse Day."

improve keyboard navigation in the Day Browser
I often have the problem that I am moving through the day browser using the arrow keys and the screen updates are significantly lagging behind my key presses (this happens especially with large screenshots, e.g. from a multi-monitor RDP-session - see my other request). By the time I have found the shot I was looking for, it seems the keyboard buffer has often filled up so much that the day browser skips a couple of frames further (often it's much more than just a couple). I have seen this behaviour on all three machines that I have used TS on…

Store images in zip files
I have a long history of time snapper images (about one and a half years of daily work) and I like to keep a backup of my timesnapper images. However because there are so many small files the backup process takes quite a long time because it checks all files for changes. It would be neat if the snapshots could optionally be stored inside an archive format per day like a .zip or a .tar file. Less files, faster backups.

Add support for flagging a selection
Add the ability to add two flags to be entered when selecting a time frame in the playback view, and by right clicking on the selection to add the new flag, place one at the start of the selection, and have the second placed at the end of the selection - either a empty or have it prefilled with the same task details as before the new selection's flag.

Create Projects and allow users to snapshots by project
By doing this, I can easily set up various projects, then skim through my work history for any given project to see what I was working on, and how long I worked on it.

add a Day Browser Zoom Setting "(Scale down to fit)"
I only capture the active window. This can be anything from a small dropdown menu to a multi-monitor RDP session. The latter wouldn't fit into the day browser at 100% zoom but the former would be a little too "in-the-face" with the current "(To Fit)"-setting. I therefore suggest adding a zoom setting that only scales down to fit but never zooms up.
