  1. I occasionally work weekends but do not have TS set to auto prompt on weekends. So at end of day, or the next day, I log the time. Sometimes I make mistakes on the Flag, Either the day, or time or the Flag description itself.

There's no way I can find to edit a flag once its entered. It would be a great feature, and also the ability to add details to a flag, like billing codes, after the fact.

  3. Everytime that I go through the column of uncategorized applications to move an application to the productive applications, I have to go through all the applications that I already know are non-productive. It would save a lot of time in categorizing if I could move applications to a non-productive column as well (maybe a nicer name but that's what I mean) so I don't have to scroll past Solitaire over and over again...

  4. Timeline activity bars and report percentage bars color-coded by application -- default (distinct) colors by default, but user should be able to set/override. Colors should be remembered -- permanently associated with an application. Same colors should appear in timeline and in reports.

  5. When looking at the tracktion that https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=38787892 got because it constantly uses OCR to make any text that appeared on any of the screens searchable (see demo video at https://www.loom.com/share/091a48b318f04f22bdada62716298948 ) I think it would be very valuable to add this feature using a fast (and office independent) OCR engine

  7. one thing that would work perfectly (and i idk if already there) would be a funtion to take a screenshot (highlight), i would basically choose a key ex:PrtSc and once pressed, this specific screenshot would be highlighted in the timeline, i would be able to use filters to choose the highliteds screenshot only. i play alot of video games to learn english vocabulary (words mining) and i use sharex to take screenshots, the only problem is that not all softwares recognize the screenshots keys once you are with the game tab selected, i think the same thing would happen with…

  9. One of the ways we use TimeSnapper is to record the screen of our QA, trying to break our application! And it works wondefully - we can simply replay the steps immediately.

However, instead of recording the entire screen all the time, I want TimeSnapper to only record a specific process (or processes).

Could you add that option? Alternatively, maybe only record those processes that are already in the "productive" group?

    Thanks!

  10. When browsing a day, it's easier to group similar items together if you've set the flag color to something specific. But this is tedious to do every time you set a flag. It would be nice to be able to specify the color for a flag based on a field in the lookup database and have the color automatically chosen for you.

  11. As it stands now, every time the application tries to archive older images to the optional archive folder, the entire Timesnapper application becomes unresponsive and no longer appears to capture screen shots. This really ought to happen on a separate thread so the app can continue unhindered by this.

  12. The productivity score involves defining which applications are considered productive to get a percent score. I'd like to be able "Play my day" with just the applications I consider as productive being included in the timeline.

  13. I would like to see a mobile version of this app, a lot of my computing has moved to my iPhone and iPad. I rely heavily on TimeSnapper to help me keep track of my activity and it has no ability to reach my mobile devices.

I understand that most mobile operating systems do n allow the level of access it would need, so it might need to be limited to jailbroken devices. I suggest exploring the idea to determine if it can be done and done profitably.

Please post the results in the FAQ.

    Thank you for a great…

  14. Can we have a default view for the Time Range?
When comparing different days it's easier if it doesn't zoom differently for every day.

A good starting point for a default would be 8am to 6pm. That would cover 90% of use cases. It could be an optional, configurable setting.

    Thanks

  15. I often want to pause my recording briefly but then I forget to turn the recording back on and realize hours later that I haven't been recording. It would be nice to have a way to pause the recording for a little while (maybe with a configurable time period or maybe with some pre-defined time periods) and have it automatically begin recording at the end of that period (maybe with a notification that recording has resumed).

Thank you for creating and maintaining this software. I have been a Windows user for many, many years and this was one of the…

  16. When I put my cursor over the TimeSnapper icon in the tray, it currently says "TimeSnapper (Active)" or the like.

Instead of just saying "Active" it'd be nice to show the info about the most recent flag, like what task it thinks I'm working on. That way I can look to see if I forgot to add a new flag.

Right now the only way to do this is to go all the way into "Browse Day."

  17. I'm finding the movie playback feature is crashing regularly in 2.0.1.1. I have dual 1920 x 1080 displays and have the play frame delay set to 75ms. Whilst going through a weeks worth of screen captures it'll lock up and become unresponsive at least 2 or 3 times. No amount of waiting seems to resuscitate it, clicking on it produces the standard microsoft unresponsive dialog with the options to wait or close the application.

  19. Many work-spaces include these days support more than 3 monitor setups. It would be nice to have support for more than 3 monitors OR give us the ability to select which 3 monitors we would like to be recording from.
