  2. A countdown timer that will notify the user with sound and Windows-popup when the time set has elapsed. A great timemanagement technique meets a windows integrated component

  3. Enhance filter to include more than just the program ie mstsc.exe. it would be very beneficial to include any file called by the exe as well, ie customer1.rdp customer2.rdp, that is included in a shortcut.

  4. Currently, filenames have only timestamps and the folders they go in are datestamps. Create an option that allows the date to be part of the filename with the timestamp

  5. Say I lock my computer and go to a meeting for an hour. It seems a little wasteful to have 3,600 screenshots of "Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to unlock this computer" (assuming I capture every second).

  6. I only capture the active window. This can be anything from a small dropdown menu to a multi-monitor RDP session. The latter wouldn't fit into the day browser at 100% zoom but the former would be a little too "in-the-face" with the current "(To Fit)"-setting. I therefore suggest adding a zoom setting that only scales down to fit but never zooms up.

  7. The timesheet integration is great if you have full SQL access to the timesheet system, but in some environments you have an API without SQL access (like in a Microsoft Project Server environment). It would be nice to be able to write a plugin for timesheet integration rather than requiring SQL.

The SQL integration could then also be written as a plugin that ships with TimeSnapper by default. Timesheet integration would be done by selecting the desired plugin and configuring that plugin.

  8. Add the ability to add two flags to be entered when selecting a time frame in the playback view, and by right clicking on the selection to add the new flag, place one at the start of the selection, and have the second placed at the end of the selection - either a empty or have it prefilled with the same task details as before the new selection's flag.

  9. Allow users to set password for pause & play back images. It will be great if the application is totally hidden not even in system tray.

  10. Currently Timesnapper extracts URL for all my main browser, except Microsoft Edge (replacing IE eventually). It only reports it as MS-EDGE. Would be awesome if the URLs would be extracted for productivity reporting.

  11. Sometimes i find myself stopping timesnapper and basicly have 1 small task to do before going back to work.

Doing the task and then forgetting to turn timesnapper back on.
This feature would make forgetting to start it again a non issue.

I've found this feature very usefull in for instance anti virus software.

  12. Maybe I have misunderstood the functions, but I want my productivity rate increase on certain web pages, since i use some tools on webpages. But some other pages i don't want to count as productivity at all. When I add firefox to the productivity thing then I only have a choice to enter titles on web pages that gives more productivity score, but it seems like other pages in firefox counts as productivity too? Am I right? I want som pages to count as productivity and some not at all.

  13. Notify users if their productivity drops below a certain level or they spend too much time on a non-productive application. There are many many things that could be done in this space to make this a more robust anti-procrastination tool.

  14. Using build 9841 the [Win] + Z combo (or any other combo) does not bring up the TS menu for me. Thanks.

  15. I was thinking that difference between images may compress better as videos since the codec is designed to stream the pixel areas that are changed from the keyframe. Seems like h.264 or even h.265 can compress like images from snapshot to snapshot better than saving them individually. I did a test of some JPGs that are 11MB for a few hours and the same mp4 I made a slideshow from is about 8MB.

  16. Everytime that I go through the column of uncategorized applications to move an application to the productive applications, I have to go through all the applications that I already know are non-productive. It would save a lot of time in categorizing if I could move applications to a non-productive column as well (maybe a nicer name but that's what I mean) so I don't have to scroll past Solitaire over and over again...

  17. Many work-spaces include these days support more than 3 monitor setups. It would be nice to have support for more than 3 monitors OR give us the ability to select which 3 monitors we would like to be recording from.

  18. Firefox URL extraction has been broken for a couple of years now. Would love to see this working again like it does in Chrome. 🙏

  19. One of the ways we use TimeSnapper is to record the screen of our QA, trying to break our application! And it works wondefully - we can simply replay the steps immediately.

However, instead of recording the entire screen all the time, I want TimeSnapper to only record a specific process (or processes).

Could you add that option? Alternatively, maybe only record those processes that are already in the "productive" group?

    Thanks!

  20. When I put my cursor over the TimeSnapper icon in the tray, it currently says "TimeSnapper (Active)" or the like.

Instead of just saying "Active" it'd be nice to show the info about the most recent flag, like what task it thinks I'm working on. That way I can look to see if I forgot to add a new flag.

Right now the only way to do this is to go all the way into "Browse Day."
