Create a proper user manual
Unless I missed it, there is no actual manual for the software. It's easy to use, but a proper manual would really be nice. The info on the website is in several different places, and most of it is really only a features listing showing WHAT can be done, but not HOW to do it.

lessen the amount of resources used and the impact on cpu temperature
I've used TimeSnapper Classic for about a week and decided to give the Pro version a try. I keep close watch on my cpu temperatures with audible warnings at different temperature ranges. With the Classic version, I never got any alerts. However, the Pro version is definitely using quite a bit of cpu processes to just take a screenshot. Every time the snap is taken TS uses anywhere from 25 to 30% of the cpu processes. The only way that I could get better control of this was to check the low priority Option, set the Affinity in the Windows…

Allow my secretary to view my screenshots on her computer.
It sometimes takes me 1/2 an hour to fill out my time sheet by viewing snapshots. It would be ideal if my secretary could view my snapshots at her computer to rough out a time sheet for me, but without interrupting the time capture on my machine while she does that.

Store a list of tasks to keep track of start/stop in a simple text file. Software can read, hash, and store a large enough list of items.
Store a list of tasks in a text file for use by the a start/stop timer for the tags and reports. Accessing a separate database for a few dozen items is overcomplicated overkill. It's fairly easy to read in a text file and store it in memory by hash values for quick access. The software wouldn't even have to maintain the file, to make it simpler.

Allow users to set password for pause & play back images
Allow users to set password for pause & play back images. It will be great if the application is totally hidden not even in system tray.

Allow the date to be part of the filename of the snapshot files...
Currently, filenames have only timestamps and the folders they go in are datestamps. Create an option that allows the date to be part of the filename with the timestamp

Add support for flagging a selection
Add the ability to add two flags to be entered when selecting a time frame in the playback view, and by right clicking on the selection to add the new flag, place one at the start of the selection, and have the second placed at the end of the selection - either a empty or have it prefilled with the same task details as before the new selection's flag.

Disable capturing when the computer is locked
Say I lock my computer and go to a meeting for an hour. It seems a little wasteful to have 3,600 screenshots of "Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to unlock this computer" (assuming I capture every second).

detect java window titles correctly
When using an application that uses Java as it's framework, TimeSnapper only lists the window as javaw.exe.
So when using multiple applications that are written in Java, they all fall under the same umbrella.
My specific apps are Eclipse, Netbeans, and install4j. All of these only show up as javaw.exe in TimeSnapper.

Add an "Egg-Timer" feature that can be used via the Taskbar-Icon context menu
A countdown timer that will notify the user with sound and Windows-popup when the time set has elapsed. A great timemanagement technique meets a windows integrated component

Feature to allow statistical capture of application use while not capturing screen.
I typically only enable screen capture while I am remotely administering a system or am performing tasks trying to reproduce issues in software, flagged with a case number. The remainder of my time I have TimeSnapper Paused in the system tray. It would be nice to still have usage statistics being gathered, but not screen captures.

Make the OK button default on the "Flag Info" dialog.
Currently you have to click on the OK button or press "Alt-O" to save and close the "Flag Info" dialog.
It would be quicker if I could just press Enter.7 votes -

Some webpages are prdouctive, some are not.
Maybe I have misunderstood the functions, but I want my productivity rate increase on certain web pages, since i use some tools on webpages. But some other pages i don't want to count as productivity at all. When I add firefox to the productivity thing then I only have a choice to enter titles on web pages that gives more productivity score, but it seems like other pages in firefox counts as productivity too? Am I right? I want som pages to count as productivity and some not at all.
